SPECIAL NOTICE: FOR A LIMITED TIME THE EYEPIECE worth $35.00 is now FREE with the purchase of the Hydrophobia.
Free Eyepiece + Free Gear with Every Rain Cover

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The thinkTANKphoto Hydrophobia Flash 70-200 Camera Rain Cover comes in a really cool mesh bag.  If it didn’t have it’s own bag,  I know that the hydrophobia would get lost in my bag.

Keep in mind to also purchase the eyepiece for your specific camera brand and body.

The thinkTANKphoto Hydrophobia Flash 70-200 Camera Rain Cover was easy to cover my Nikon D300s without the need for instructions  and at a good speed. I think this is key to when you need protection from the pouring rain at a moments notice. You don’t have time to read the instruction.

AFTER FIRST USE:

Amazing product, I wish I got the thinkTANKphoto Hydrophobia Flash 70-200 Camera Rain Cover sooner.  Before the Hydrophobia I really did not think much of shooting at the beach with the protection of the rain cover until some of my photography colleagues reported how the salt water is damaging the their camera bodies and lenses. After that, I always keep the thinkTANKphoto Hydrophobia in the car.

A FEW OF THE FEATURES I FOUND MOST USEFUL FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS INCLUDE: (view a full listing at the manufacturer website)

  • ·          Clear flash tower that allows for flash protection which is key for those gloomy rainy days
  • ·          Eternal camera strap is included just in case you don’t have one already
  • ·          Can be attached with the Camera and Lens attached
  • ·          Change memory cards and batteries without removing hydrophobia
  • ·          Compatible with monopods and small tripod heads

You can find the full details of the thinkTANKphoto Hydrophobia Flash 70-200 here: http://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/hydrophobia-flash-70-200-rain-cover.aspx?code=AP-379

CONCLUSION:

This is a must have to include in your camera bag. It’s not only for a rainy day but also shoots where there is a lot of moisture like the beach or near a pool. It’s protection that you can’t be without. Easy to use and easy to store which is key for this type of camera accessory

As stated earlier, I never leave home without it. You never know when you might need it.

About the Author

Lawrence
As a weekend photographer, I found myself with limited time and limited resources in terms of expanding my photographic ability due to my career. Like many weekend photography warriors, there are only 2 hours on the weekdays and maybe 8 hours or so total on the weekend to learn and grow. These time constraints is what motivated me into creating this online photography resource. I needed a photography hub where all the information I referred to is stored in one easy to navigate online location. I see this more of my online repository of photography information gathered through time. I am very proud of the success of my blog offering of "Photographer Interview Series". You will read in-depth interviews from the photography world's famous photographers. Names like David Tejada, Nick Onken, Michael Grecco and David Bean to name a few. The interview series has also expanded to include weekend photographers and now wedding photographers with the similar goal of learning from each other. My goal is to evolve this site to be the premier go to resource for photographer interviews and equipment reviews.
