Review

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The Pedco Ultrapod Go looks like a swiss army knife for your extreme video camera and is as useful. The design is absolute genius as it allowed you to not only use your camera in a fixed position via the tripod option but also handheld using that option. On top of that, you are able to utilize the velcro straps at the end of Pedco Ultrapod Go to enable a hanging position option. I love the flexibility this product offers.

AFTER FIRST USE:

I first used this swiss army knife at an outdoor fair event. I mainly used the Pedco Ultrapod Go to allow me to use my extreme video camera in this case a Contour Plus II to capture some b-roll. The footage consisted of walking around each booth which required me to use the handhold option. I noticed that i wanted to add a little more weight while holding the Pedco Ultrapod Go. Therefore, I added a ballhead that also allowed me more flexiblity on the positioning of the camera on the Pedco Ultrapod.  I also wanted to capture some fixed position video which required the tripod option. The Pedco Ultrapod in the tripod configuration was still able to adequately support a ballhead and a camera.
