If you are a photographer that works with numerous team members for photoshoots, then you will greatly benefit from this free online team collaboration tool named Trello.

I’ve been using Trello for a few weeks now to track projects for PhotographySILO and I must say that I am very impressed. It is very simple to use and it truly keeps me focused on the tasks.

So you might be wondering, what the heck is this Trello? Well, check out the video below and see how it is intended to work.

Now I’ll show you how to utilize this tool for my photography projects.

STEP 1: CREATE A NEW BOARD
a. Title it “Concepts”

STEP 2: CREATE NEW LISTS FOR EACH PROCESS AND CARDS
a. List 1: “Inspiration”

i. The list will be of “cards” there is gray text of “add card” that you click to add a new card per topic/inspiration.
b. List 2: “ Found Online”
c. List 3: “Found on Youtube”
d. List 4: “Feasible”
a. Include concepts from either the Inspiration to the Found on Youtube lists that can be a possibility.
b. This will be the list where your collaborators could update each card with links, photos etc for ideation in the “Activity” box.
c. Make sure you assign the collaborators to the card by dragging and dropping their icon from the members’ section to the right rail of the card.
d. The right rail of the card also details the different actions.
i. Add checklist
ii. Add due date
iii. Labels
iv. Move
v. Archive
1. Update each “Card” to include a checklist
2. Checklist items I used below

About the Author

Lawrence
As a weekend photographer, I found myself with limited time and limited resources in terms of expanding my photographic ability due to my career. Like many weekend photography warriors, there are only 2 hours on the weekdays and maybe 8 hours or so total on the weekend to learn and grow. These time constraints is what motivated me into creating this online photography resource. I needed a photography hub where all the information I referred to is stored in one easy to navigate online location. I see this more of my online repository of photography information gathered through time. I am very proud of the success of my blog offering of "Photographer Interview Series". You will read in-depth interviews from the photography world's famous photographers. Names like David Tejada, Nick Onken, Michael Grecco and David Bean to name a few. The interview series has also expanded to include weekend photographers and now wedding photographers with the similar goal of learning from each other. My goal is to evolve this site to be the premier go to resource for photographer interviews and equipment reviews.
